Field Service Technician – Explosion Protection (DACH)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Field Service Technician to install, commission, maintain and repair advanced explosion protection and fire safety systems for industrial facilities across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The role combines technical problem‑solving with extensive travel and independent on‑site customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Commission, service and repair explosion protection systems at customer sites.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers throughout the DACH region.
• Plan, schedule and execute service visits autonomously.
• Complete service documentation and reporting from a home‑office base.
• Travel extensively (80–90% of the time) across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Required profile

• Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Practical experience in service, maintenance, installation or field engineering.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Full Class B driving licence.
• Excellent German language skills and good English for internal communication.
• Self‑motivated, organised and comfortable working independently; early‑career technicians are encouraged to apply.
