Field Technician III – Bolt Product

About the role

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Field Technician III to support bolt‑replacement projects in nuclear power plants worldwide. Based in Mannheim, you will act as the tool specialist, ensuring that all equipment is correctly maintained, assembled, and ready for outage operations.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and maintain bolt‑replacement equipment and specialist field service tools.
• Commission and test new parts for bolt‑replacement and related equipment.
• Train new team members and subcontractors on tool usage.
• Operate bolt‑replacement equipment on‑site at nuclear power plants globally.
• Manufacture or modify electrical and mechanical components according to drawings.
• Assemble equipment and tooling.
• Collaborate across departments and international teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience operating or maintaining bolt‑replacement or similar complex field service equipment.
• At least two worldwide assignments as a platform worker on bolt‑replacement or bolt D&D jobs (baffle, barrel, or clevis).
• At least one worldwide assignment as a tool specialist on bolt‑replacement jobs (baffle or clevis).
• Basic computer knowledge, including software installation and networking.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrotechnical aptitude.
• Ability to read technical documentation such as mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• English proficiency of at least A2 (B1 preferred) and native‑level or C1/C2 proficiency in the local language.
