Final Test Technician (m/w/d) – Prüffeldtechniker

About the role

Applied Materials is looking for a Final Test Technician (Prüffeldtechniker) to support the commissioning and testing of high‑end electron‑microscope systems at its ICT GmbH site in Heimstetten, Germany. The role involves ensuring products meet quality standards before delivery to customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Commission new products and perform all required functional tests.
• Coordinate the introduction of new products and transfer prototypes into series production.
• Execute test procedures according to specifications and contribute to continuous improvements.
• Maintain cutting‑edge technologies and work at the limits of technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with international partners and support ongoing product enhancements.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis of production issues and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Completed engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with electron optics, high‑vacuum technology and precision mechanics is desirable.
• Project‑management experience is a plus.
• Organised, structured work style with analytical thinking.
• Strong communication skills and customer orientation.
• Proficient in MS‑Office applications.
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel on a limited basis.
