Finance Transformation Internship – Governance & Innovation

About the role

We are looking for a motivated intern to join the Finance Transformation team at Airbus Defence and Space. The role is based in Taufkirchen/Ottobrunn, near Munich, and runs for 5‑6 months starting April‑May 2026. You will gain hands‑on experience in finance process redesign, digital innovation and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse finance value creation by reviewing user journeys and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Develop and propose process redesigns and digital solutions in collaboration with business users.
• Support the management and tracking of the finance improvement portfolio, measuring impact through KPIs.
• Build and promote a collaboration platform for finance transformation and innovation activities.
• Assist the implementation of the data‑analytics and AI strategy, prototyping use cases with in‑house LLM and analytics platforms.

Required profile

• Enrolled full‑time student in Management, Finance, Economics, Information Management or a related field.
• Good knowledge of standard MS Office/Google Suite and project‑management basics.
• Basic data‑analytics or programming skills (preferred).
• Fluent in English; a second European language (German, French or Spanish) is a plus.
