Financial Accountant – Fast‑Growing D2C Company

About the role

As a Financial Accountant you will ensure that Pammys’ financial data is accurate, reliable and ready for strategic decision‑making. You will work in a fast‑growing e‑commerce environment, supporting the finance organisation of a leading European footwear brand.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process day‑to‑day financial accounting, ensuring all documents and transactions are correctly recorded.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing invoices, maintain open‑item lists and perform regular account reconciliations.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closings and collaborate with tax advisors to meet deadlines.
• Produce reports, budget‑to‑actual comparisons and analyses for the Head of Finance.
• Optimize interfaces between the online store, payment systems, ERP and accounting to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Work closely with Controlling, Data teams and external partners such as auditors and banks.
• Identify inefficiencies and drive automation of finance processes.
• Ensure compliance with German Commercial Code (HGB) and relevant accounting standards.

Required profile

• Degree in business administration, finance, accounting or a comparable qualification, or a commercial apprenticeship with IHK certification.
• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a fast‑growing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HGB, financial accounting, auditing, account reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
• Experience working with tax advisors, banks and other external partners.
• Ability to analyse financial reports and derive clear insights.
• Structured, independent and detail‑oriented work style while keeping the big picture in mind.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
