Financial Controller – High‑Growth FinTech (Berlin, Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing FinTech company that is scaling across Europe. The business seeks a Financial Controller to join the finance team in Berlin on a hybrid basis, reporting to senior finance leadership and driving financial control, reporting and compliance across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close, delivering accurate management reports for all entities.
• Lead annual audits and manage statutory reporting in each jurisdiction.
• Prepare technical accounting documentation, maintain accounting policies and strengthen internal controls.
• Coordinate transfer pricing, VAT, payroll taxes and other international compliance matters with external advisors.
• Oversee treasury activities, cash‑flow forecasting, FX exposure and inter‑company balances.
• Drive ERP and finance‑system enhancements, automation projects and audit‑ready reporting processes.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Previous experience as a Financial Controller or senior controllership role in a regulated sector such as FinTech, payments or banking.
• Proven track record handling multi‑entity, cross‑border groups and international compliance.
• Fluent in English and German.
