Financial Planning & Analysis Manager – Inventory & Cost Analytics

About the role

Sunday Natural is seeking a curious, commercially‑mindset Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to own inventory and cost performance analytics. You will work closely with Supply Chain, Operations and Commercial teams, turning data into actionable decisions in a fast‑moving, data‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and analyse inventory KPIs (turnover rate, Days on Hand, aging, stockouts, excess/obsolete inventory) and deliver actionable insights.
• Lead forecasting and budgeting for inventory, manufacturing costs and COGS across all SKUs and sales channels.
• Evaluate standard vs. actual cost variances, purchase price variance and bill of materials accuracy.
• Prepare monthly performance decks with inventory and margin commentary for executives and the board.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement and Commercial teams to understand cost drivers and recommend optimisations.
• Conduct scenario analysis on sourcing, packaging, shipping and fulfilment changes.
• Lead working capital planning, identifying opportunities to optimise safety stock and reorder levels.
• Drive system and process improvements for inventory tracking, reporting and SKU‑level profitability.
• Build and maintain BI dashboards (Power BI, Tableau or similar) to automate reporting.
• Explore AI‑assisted tools to accelerate financial analysis and automate recurring tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, cost analysis or finance, preferably in manufacturing or consumer products.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, manufacturing cost structures and D2C fulfilment economics.
• High proficiency in financial modelling and ERP systems.
• Experience building visual, actionable reports using BI tools.
• Excellent business acumen and ability to communicate insights to finance and non‑finance audiences.
• Hands‑on mindset comfortable in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
