Founding Designer (m/w/d)

About the role

Steuerboard is looking for a Founding Designer to join its early‑stage team in Düsseldorf. You will help shape the visual and interaction language of a product that aims to transform tax‑accounting with AI‑driven tools.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a state‑of‑the‑art design language across all product interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure design feasibility and smooth implementation.
• Conduct user testing, gather feedback, and iterate on designs.
• Build the company’s design system from the ground up.
• Create and refine prototypes to validate concepts and guide development.
• Make UX decisions in an environment with limited specifications and uncover unknown requirements.

Required profile

• Work authorization for Germany and fluent German language skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, early‑stage startup with high ambiguity.
• Passion for building complex products from scratch and seeing your work impact thousands of businesses.
• Ability to ship production‑ready designs from day one.
