Founding Drone & Avionics Technician

About the role

Join SE3 Labs as a Founding Drone & Avionics Technician in Munich, building the avionics shop for autonomous UAVs. You will own electrical integration from prototype to flight, working closely with the engineering team to deliver flight‑ready systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and test prototype avionics units, including wiring harnesses and electrical subsystems for UAVs.
• Install, measure, and verify electronics inside flight vehicles, ensuring robust, repeatable integration.
• Set up, organize, and maintain the avionics workspace, selecting tools and establishing scalable processes.
• Identify design flaws, propose improvements, and support qualification testing such as vibration and thermal cycles.

Required profile

• Technical apprenticeship or training (e.g., Fluggeräteelektroniker, Elektroniker) and EASA certification.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience assembling wiring harnesses and electronics in aerospace or high‑reliability environments.
• Proactive, organized, and strong sense of ownership with attention to precision and build quality.
• Conversational English; German is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Soldering wires, connectors and PCBs.
• Aerospace crimping and wire tooling.
• Use of electronic diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with sensors, signal chains and testing setups.
• Operating or tuning drones and familiarity with CAD/PLM/MES systems.
