Founding Software Engineer – TypeScript & React

About the role

Join a fast‑growing German B2B SaaS startup that is modernising public procurement across Europe. As a founding software engineer you will shape the core AI‑driven platform that matches organisations with the right public contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end TypeScript backend, including data ingestion, matching logic, onboarding and integrations.
• Evolve the data model using Drizzle ORM, PostgreSQL and pgvector for semantic search.
• Build and harden ingestion pipelines (deduplication, normalisation, freshness, monitoring).
• Integrate AI capabilities for document understanding and bid workflows via Vertex AI on GCP.
• Ship user‑facing features with React 19, TanStack Start and Tailwind.
• Make architectural decisions that scale the platform from pilots to production.

Required profile

• Strong production experience with TypeScript on both frontend and backend.
• Solid PostgreSQL expertise, relational modelling and migrations.
• Proficiency with React and a modern meta‑framework (e.g., TanStack Start, Next.js).
• Hands‑on experience running services on GCP and integrating LLM APIs.
• Comfortable owning projects end‑to‑end in an ambiguous, high‑ownership environment.
