Freelance Construction Engineer – Germany

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Construction Engineer to support utility‑scale and commercial‑and‑industrial (C&I) projects across Germany. The role involves overseeing on‑site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, and contributing to large‑scale infrastructure and energy developments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee on‑site construction work and guarantee delivery according to design and schedule.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and site standards.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and costs, reporting any deviations.
• Provide support during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in construction projects, preferably in renewables or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of German construction standards and regulations.
• Understanding of site HSE requirements and QA/QC processes.
• German language skills are highly advantageous.
