Freelance DevOps Engineer – Automation Systems (AI Pilot)

About the role

Mindrift is seeking a freelance DevOps Engineer to support the Tendem project, a hybrid AI‑human automation platform. You will act as an "AI Pilot," designing and maintaining the infrastructure that powers high‑volume automation workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain self‑hosted automation environments such as n8n instances.
• Design scalable cloud infrastructure to handle large‑scale data processing and concurrent workloads.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to track performance and detect failures.
• Set up alerts for critical events like node failures or performance drops.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and fault tolerance across automation pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or backend system management.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
• Proven ability to maintain high‑availability systems and scalable architectures.
• Self‑directed work ethic with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP or similar).
• Containerization tools such as Docker.
• Automation platforms like n8n.
• Monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (metrics, uptime monitoring).
• Knowledge of system performance, scaling strategies, and fault tolerance.

What we offer
