Freelance Safety Physician – Remote (Munich)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Physician to join a leading international biotech company on a freelance basis. The role is primarily remote with occasional on‑site visits in Munich, supporting safety excellence across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure safety compliance.
• Lead, guide and mentor peers on safety‑related topics.
• Manage safety vendors and maintain sponsor oversight.
• Develop, maintain and improve safety SOPs, templates and processes.
• Prepare for inspections and take a leading role during safety inspections.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor qualification.
• Proven experience in safety management within biotech or pharmaceutical environments.
• Ability to work 30‑40 hours per week on a freelance contract.
