French and German Speaking Technical Sales Manager

About the role

A leading engineering and manufacturing company providing electrical and electronic solutions for various industries is looking for a French and German speaking Technical Sales Manager covering Germany and France. The role is home and field-based, with up to 60% of the time spent travelling in the first year, and is based in Eastern France or Western Germany for an easy commute across the territory.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with key customers and business partners in the DACH and French regions, with potential to expand into other European territories
• Take ownership of designated projects through the sales process, working closely with project managers to meet customer requirements
• Travel to visit clients on site for meetings, exhibitions, product demonstrations and industry events
• Support with quotations and tender documents where required
• Record customer visits and outcomes in the CRM system, and prepare sales forecasts and reports
• Analyse competitor activity and market intelligence to build the sales pipeline and increase market share

Required profile

• Fluent in French and German (written and spoken) with strong English
• Proven experience in B2B technical sales (electric or electronic background preferred)
• Strong track record of maintaining existing accounts and developing new business
• Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable working independently
• Flexible and willing to travel extensively across Europe with a full driving licence
• Based in Eastern France or Western Germany
