Full Stack Data Engineer – Hybrid (Berlin)

About the role

As a Full Stack Data Engineer at alcemy, you will own the data pipeline that fuels our AI‑driven decarbonisation platform for cement and concrete plants. You will work hands‑on with real plant data, translate technical findings for non‑technical stakeholders, and help customers get their data into our system with minimal friction.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ingestion pipelines that transform messy plant data into clean, ML‑ready datasets.
• Shift from rigid data schemas to flexible, AI‑augmented ingestion processes to reduce onboarding friction.
• Detect, investigate, and communicate data anomalies to customers in plain language.
• Develop and operate REST APIs and PostgreSQL databases that power our products.
• Ensure production stability and performance of data services.
• Collaborate closely with customers, sales, and customer‑success teams, acting as the technical bridge.

Required profile

• Passion for climate change mitigation and desire to see tangible impact.
• Proven experience delivering production‑grade Python applications.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar codebases and start contributing.
• Comfortable communicating with non‑technical enterprise teams.
• Open to leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity.
