General Manager – High‑Volume Quick Service Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead the launch and daily operations of a brand‑new high‑volume quick‑service restaurant in Oberhausen, Germany. The role combines strategic planning with hands‑on leadership, ensuring a seamless opening and sustained operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the restaurant’s performance from pre‑opening through ongoing operations.
• Recruit, train, coach and develop a team of 20‑30 staff members.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness and safety.
• Manage labour scheduling, staffing levels and inventory to meet business needs.
• Drive sales while controlling labour, food and operating costs.
• Develop future supervisors and managers within the business.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety and company policies.
• Build positive relationships with shopping centre management and external partners.
• Lead by example on the floor, supporting both kitchen and front‑of‑house during busy periods.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Restaurant Manager or senior Assistant Manager in a high‑volume hospitality environment.
• Hands‑on leadership style with a visible presence on the restaurant floor.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage sales, labour and profitability.
• Experience building and developing large teams.
• Fluency in German and English.
