General Manager – Restaurant (Berlin)

About the role

Big Mamma, a fast‑growing French‑Italian restaurant group, is looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead its Berlin venue. You will be responsible for delivering an authentic Italian dining experience while driving operational excellence and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring a warm atmosphere and attentive service.
• Act as the communication bridge between front‑of‑house and kitchen teams, maintaining smooth information flow.
• Monitor and improve customer experience, social‑media ratings, and resolve guest complaints promptly.
• Manage the consolidated P&L, control average spend per customer, and take corrective actions when budgets are not met.
• Plan and adjust staffing schedules, control labor costs, and complete monthly inventory.
• Lead, motivate, and develop both front‑of‑house and kitchen staff, fostering low turnover and a positive work culture.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training in line with Big Mamma’s values.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a full‑service restaurant or similar hospitality operation.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and talent development.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset aligned with authenticity, excellence, meritocracy, and entrepreneurship.
