Geospatial Engineering Lead – Semiconductor Project

About the role

We are looking for a Geospatial Engineering Lead to head the delivery of geospatial and surveying services for a high‑profile, multi‑year semiconductor construction project in Dresden. Reporting to the Geospatial Manager, you will coordinate client requirements, resources and survey teams to provide accurate and innovative geospatial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee geospatial engineering and surveying works for a large‑scale semiconductor construction project.
• Directly liaise with client representatives to capture, coordinate and manage survey requirements from request to final delivery.
• Define technical approaches and methodologies to meet project outcomes.
• Plan and coordinate field and office activities to ensure timely delivery of survey requests.
• Lead surveyors and teams through planning, execution and completion of tasks.
• Process survey data, providing technical guidance during checking and delivery.
• Log, track and monitor all survey requests, ensuring clear progress records.
• Ensure survey data is correctly named, filed and stored according to departmental standards.
• Collaborate with the Geospatial Manager on resource, equipment and personnel planning.
• Provide accurate estimates for task durations, resource needs and completion dates.
• Identify and address potential blockers such as health‑safety, access, technical or resource constraints.
• Communicate risks, delays or scope changes to project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading geospatial engineering or surveying teams on complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering on schedule.
• Capability to assess risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Effective communication skills for reporting progress and issues.
