Global Functional Process Owner – Book-to-Report (General Accounting)

About the role

Surventis is establishing a dedicated accounting department for its Coatings business unit. This role offers the chance to shape the finance organization from the ground up and drive global accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own the global Book-to-Report (B2R) and General Accounting processes, including chart of accounts setup, journal voucher postings, period‑end closing, and financial statement preparation.
• Establish and maintain global standards aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and lead process‑improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and digital solutions to increase automation and efficiency.
• Manage a third‑party business‑process provider for general accounting and implement performance KPIs.
• Collaborate with Group Accounting, Order‑to‑Cash, Purchase‑to‑Pay, asset and project accounting to ensure holistic alignment of accounting processes.
• Engage internal stakeholders to align accounting processes with business needs and strategic objectives.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field; CMA or CPA certification is a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in financial process management and optimization, with a strong focus on general accounting in a multinational corporation.
• Proven experience in the chemicals or related industry is advantageous.
