Government Relations Manager – Dusseldorf

About the role

We are looking for a Government Relations Manager to lead Xiaomi’s engagement with public authorities in Europe. Based in Düsseldorf, you will shape our policy strategy, monitor regulatory developments and ensure strong relationships with ministries, local governments and industry bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with public authorities at national and local levels relevant to Xiaomi’s business.
• Analyse European industry policies and regulations, identify risks and provide policy advice to internal teams.
• Coordinate memberships in industrial associations and develop a network of contacts with partners.
• Represent Xiaomi in interactions with government officials, think‑tanks, international organisations and other public agencies.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, sales, marketing and other business units to support policy‑related issues.
• Assist business teams in conducting policy analysis and facilitate European‑level activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience dealing with government departments, public authorities or in a GR/PA role within corporations or consultancies.
• Strong knowledge of current policies and regulations, especially in transport, mobility or automotive sectors.
• Objective‑oriented, entrepreneurial mindset with excellent analytical and self‑management abilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, able to represent Xiaomi positively.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Relations, International Studies, Political Science, Engineering or related fields.
• Fluent German and proficient English, both spoken and written.
