Graduate Expert in Automation & AI-Driven Development

About the role

Join Airbus' Global Graduate Programme as a Graduate Expert in Automation and AI‑Driven Development. Over two years you will rotate through Production Planning, Manufacturing, Test Field and other departments, gaining hands‑on experience while contributing to digital transformation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead digitalisation and automation projects, including tool implementation and management within the development department.
• Identify automation potential in development processes to increase efficiency and reduce lead times.
• Introduce, apply and continuously improve AI‑driven automation tools across development.
• Collaborate with R&D, IT, Corporate Strategy and Project Management to align automation initiatives.
• Act as primary contact for automation topics, liaising with external partners and supporting employees in adopting AI solutions.
• Monitor emerging automation and AI trends and translate them into competitive advantages.
• Design processes and guidelines for secure and efficient AI usage in development and other business areas.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.
• Recent graduate or limited professional experience in manufacturing engineering, electronics manufacturing, automation, robotics or production technology.
• Experience planning and implementing improvement projects.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with awareness of deadlines, costs and quality.
• Strong independent, goal‑oriented and solution‑focused work style with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English and German (C1 level).
• Motivation to work collaboratively and drive future innovation.
