Graduate – Financial Risk Reporting

About the role

The Graduate – Financial Risk Reporting position is based at the European Investment Bank headquarters in Luxembourg. You will support the Group Financial Risk Department by developing and enhancing risk‑metric calculations and reporting, ensuring data quality across Treasury & Liquidity, Asset & Liability Management and Risk Data & Processes divisions. The role includes rotations among these divisions and regular office presence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the migration of daily liquidity risk reporting to interactive Power BI dashboards, moving away from Excel‑based solutions.
• Contribute to the implementation of econometric models (e.g., stress testing, ESG scoring) on a Python‑based hybrid platform.
• Perform data checks, reconciliations, data extraction, and creation of reports and dashboards for liquidity risk management.
• Support daily monitoring and reporting of the bank’s FX and interest‑rate positions.
• Help implement audit outcomes and strategic topics for the Asset & Liability Management Committee, such as pre‑payment option spread oversight and liquidity risk premium monitoring.

Required profile

• Recent graduate willing to work under the supervision of senior colleagues.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to assist in a wide range of risk‑reporting activities.
• Interest in financial risk, data quality and international banking environments.

Required skills

• Power BI for dashboard creation.
• Python programming for model implementation.
• Advanced Excel (End‑User Computing) for data manipulation.
