Grid Manager

About the role

Low Carbon is seeking an experienced Grid Manager to lead grid connection planning for its ground‑mounted photovoltaic, wind and energy storage projects. Based in Berlin, you will act as the primary liaison with grid operators, ensuring smooth integration of renewable assets into medium and high voltage networks.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimise grid connections for renewable energy projects in the medium and high voltage range.
• Coordinate with grid operators to secure connection points, manage applications and ensure compliance with standards and certifications.
• Optimise cable routes and assess economic and technical feasibility.
• Prepare concept studies, yield simulations, draft approval plans and cost estimates for components and substations.
• Evaluate third‑party plans and solutions, building expertise on relevant system components.
• Maintain continuous dialogue with grid operators and monitor regulatory developments.
• Facilitate collaboration within the development team and with external partners.
