Ground Test Engineer – Aircraft Ground Testing

About the role

Join the Ground Test team at Airbus Helicopters Germany and support the development, certification and qualification of helicopter systems on the ground. You will work closely with design offices, simulation groups, prototype shops and flight‑test crews to ensure system maturity and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, prepare and execute ground test activities for various Airbus Helicopter models.
• Lead EMC test campaigns and support vibration and acoustic testing for civil and military platforms.
• Analyse test data, produce immediate debriefs and detailed technical reports.
• Collaborate with engineering, prototype and test coordination teams to optimise test sequences.
• Provide troubleshooting expertise and contribute to problem‑analysis follow‑up.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in mechatronics, electrical or communications engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung) at minimum Ü2.
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical/communications engineering, design or development.
• Strong interest or experience with avionic systems, radios and test or simulation tools.
