Group Accounting Manager

About the role

As the Group Accounting Manager you will lead the group‑wide financial reporting, consolidation and accounting processes for STARK’s corporate group and its subsidiaries. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, you will act as the technical expert bridging corporate functions, local subsidiaries and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and German GAAP (HGB).
• Provide technical guidance on complex accounting transactions and reporting requirements.
• Serve as the primary liaison between corporate finance, treasury, tax, legal and subsidiary finance teams.
• Lead interactions with external group auditors during annual audits and reviews.
• Support and advise subsidiary managers on local and group accounting matters.
• Drive process improvements, system implementations and special finance projects.
• Potentially grow and mentor a Group Accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; CPA or equivalent is a strong asset.
• 5‑7+ years of progressive experience in group accounting or a major audit firm.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) with hands‑on consolidation experience.
• Fluency in English; strong German language skills are preferred.

Required skills

• IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) reporting standards.
• Experience with NetSuite and consolidation tools such as Lucanet or SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
