Guest Service Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Guest Service Officer to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be the friendly face of the property, providing attentive assistance and ensuring a memorable experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and respond promptly to inquiries, concerns and requests.
• Resolve guest issues by actively listening and offering appropriate solutions.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments and maintain accurate records, applying knowledge of US currency and exchange rates.
• Operate standard office equipment such as telephones, computers and copy machines.
• Communicate effectively with guests, department heads and shipboard employees to negotiate resolutions.
• Maintain organized documentation and follow written procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum one‑year experience in a customer‑contact role within the hotel or related industry.
• At least one year of cash‑handling experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Fluent spoken and written English; additional language proficiency (e.g., Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish) is a strong advantage.
• Professional demeanor, strong communication and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• Cash handling and knowledge of US currency and exchange rates.
• Operation of basic office equipment (telephone, computer, copier).
