Hangar Manager – Aviation (German & English)

About the role

We are looking for a Hangar Manager to lead the operational development of a specialised aviation maintenance centre in the Saarbrücken area. You will ensure efficient maintenance processes, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of productivity and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the daily operational maintenance team, organising resources, shift and holiday planning.
• Coordinate base and line maintenance activities to guarantee timely and efficient execution.
• Analyse qualification needs, develop training plans and support technical development of team members and Check Leaders.
• Drive organisational change and continuous improvement using KPIs, digital tools and data‑driven approaches.
• Support quality audits, manage findings and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure Health & Safety regulations, regulatory requirements and Safety Management System principles are applied.
• Coordinate external service providers, monitoring quality, timing and cost compliance.

Required profile

• Technical background (technician or engineer) with relevant EASA certifications (CAT‑B, B1, Category C, Part‑145, Part‑66, Part‑M).
• Experience in highly regulated environments and managing production, maintenance or logistics processes, preferably with lean management.
• Solid management experience (15‑30 employees) and proven success in change management.
• Strong German (C1) for daily leadership and confident English (B2) for international collaboration; French is a plus.
• Strong digital affinity, comfortable with standard IT tools and data‑driven methods; AMOS experience is a plus.
