Hangar Manager – Aviation (German & English)

About the role

We are looking for a Hangar Manager to lead the operational maintenance team at our specialised aviation maintenance centre in the Saarbrücken area. You will ensure efficient maintenance processes, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while supporting a bilingual (German & English) environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure efficient maintenance processes and continuous compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead the daily operational maintenance team, organising resources, priorities, shift and holiday planning.
• Coordinate base and line maintenance activities to guarantee timely execution.
• Analyse qualification needs, develop training plans and support technical development of team members and Check Leaders.
• Drive organisational change and continuous improvement using KPIs, digital tools and data‑driven approaches.
• Support quality audits, manage findings and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Apply Health & Safety regulations, regulatory requirements and Safety Management System principles consistently.
• Coordinate external service providers, ensuring quality, timing and cost targets are met.

Required profile

• Technical background (technician or engineer) with EASA CAT‑B, B1, Category C, Part‑145, Part‑66, Part‑M knowledge.
• Experience in highly regulated environments (aviation, pharma, food, energy, automotive) and in managing production, maintenance or logistics processes, preferably with lean management.
• Proven management experience of 15–30 employees and success in change management.
• Strong German (C1) and confident English (B2); French is a plus.
• Strong digital affinity, proficient with standard IT tools and data‑driven methods; AMOS software experience is a plus.
