Head of Capital Formation / Partner – Institutional & Private Wealth

About the role

We are a London‑headquartered institutional private equity firm seeking a senior leader to own and expand our capital formation function in Frankfurt. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will shape the end‑to‑end fundraising strategy, build the investor franchise and earn a partnership seat.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the full capital formation roadmap, from LP targeting to roadshow delivery and final close.
• Lead a high‑performing investor relations team, setting targets and coaching senior staff.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, fund‑of‑funds, family offices and ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Translate complex investment strategies into compelling narratives for sophisticated investors.
• Collaborate with investment, legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment with alternative fund structures and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in institutional fundraising, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of securing capital commitments from pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, fund‑of‑funds or family offices.
• Deep network across institutional and private‑wealth channels.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building or scaling a fundraising function.
• Executive‑level communication skills, able to simplify complexity for top‑tier investors.
