Head of Corporate Real Estate

About the role

The Head of Corporate Real Estate will define and implement the global real‑estate strategy for BASF Agricultural Solutions, a leading agricultural‑solutions company with nearly €10 bn in sales. The role combines strategic planning, portfolio optimisation, and senior advisory to support the CFO and senior leadership on transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a global real‑estate strategy aligned with business and financial objectives.
• Lead portfolio planning, optimisation and cost‑saving initiatives across all locations.
• Own the real‑estate budget, planning, reporting and performance management.
• Oversee global transactions (leases, acquisitions, disposals) and capital‑project delivery.
• Build and lead a lean global team, managing external service providers and outsourcing models.
• Drive the transition to an independent operating model and enhance digitalisation and data transparency.
• Act as a trusted partner to the CFO and senior leadership on M&A, transformation and other strategic projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in corporate real estate, transactions or portfolio management; experience in agriculture or rural environments is a plus.
• Proven leadership in a global or multinational environment with strong expertise in real‑estate strategy, transactions and financial analysis.
• Experience managing outsourcing models, service‑provider relationships and transformation or IPO environments.
• Digital and AI focus with the ability to leverage modern technologies and data‑driven approaches.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
