Head of Educational & Career Support Programs

About the role

The Technical University of Munich seeks a senior professional to lead educational and career support programmes for the newly established DFG Cluster of Excellence TransforM. The role focuses on early‑career researchers and doctoral students, shaping graduate‑level training, mentoring and outreach activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run novel educational programming for the TransforM cluster, including micro‑credentials and project‑based training.
• Collaborate with principal investigators and postdoctoral researchers to design graduate‑level courses and career‑development activities.
• Manage implementation of graduate educational initiatives and outreach activities targeting early‑career researchers and doctoral students.
• Oversee mentoring programmes, career‑support services and evaluate their impact on the cluster’s sustainability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing graduate education or outreach programmes, preferably within the social sciences.
• Demonstrated ability to develop mentoring and career‑development initiatives.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with cluster leadership and research teams.
• Relevant academic or professional qualification.

• Part‑time contract (50‑75 % FTE) with remuneration up to TV‑L E13, depending on qualification.
