Head of Finance and Operations

About the role

As Head of Finance & Operations you will build the operating backbone for REMATIQ’s next stage of growth after its Series A round. Working directly with the founders, you will shape financial planning, resource allocation, hiring, and company‑wide processes to scale the business.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial planning and reporting, understand historical and future performance, and communicate KPI changes to investors and the company.
• Ensure proper accounting by collaborating with the external accounting firm and internal teams for timely, accurate book closings.
• Oversee HR and People operations, managing payroll, employee administration, performance reviews, recruiting coordination and onboarding.
• Structure recruiting and onboarding processes, working with internal and external recruiters to maintain a high‑quality candidate experience.
• Handle legal, compliance and contracting matters by working with external counsel and suppliers to enforce policies and negotiate offers.
• Coordinate company operations including OKR setting, office logistics, legal setup, opening new entities and other essential functions.

Required profile

• Operations and finance experience: built finance and ops functions from scratch in Series A companies.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills: strong at conceptual framing, analysis, synthesis and clear recommendation.
• AI‑native working style: actively uses AI and automation to eliminate repetitive work and improve decision‑making.
• Executive communication: able to build clear data‑driven stories for leadership.
• Startup mindset: adaptable, resilient, hands‑on and willing to take on challenges beyond a narrow job description.
• Unquestionable ethics and diligence: trusted with all financial and HR data.
• Fluency in English; German preferred.
