Head of Finance – Build Finance Function at High‑Growth Fintech

About the role

bunch is building the backbone of private markets and seeks a Head of Finance to create and lead its finance function from the ground up. Reporting to the General Counsel and working directly with founders, you will own budgeting, forecasting, investor reporting, M&A finance and treasury as the company scales toward a Series C round and eventual exit.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full budgeting cycle end‑to‑end, run monthly variance reviews and drive quarterly budget control.
• Build and maintain a robust cash‑forecasting model, providing regular updates on burn rate and runway.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly board updates and present financial performance to investors.
• Set up analytical foundations such as unit economics, cohort analyses and profitability modelling, centralising Finance data.
• Lead equity‑round finance, including modelling, due‑diligence management and investor communications to prepare for Series C.
• Manage M&A finance: conduct due‑diligence, build acquisition models and support post‑merger integration.
• Own banking relationships, liquidity optimisation, treasury policies and risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Scope and lead ERP implementation across the group and oversee audits and external advisors.

Required profile

• 6+ years progressive finance experience in an in‑house, SaaS or VC‑backed environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in VC‑backed financing rounds post‑Series B.
• Track record building robust financial models for multi‑entity, multi‑currency structures.
• Hands‑on mindset, willing to build processes from scratch and later scale to a VP‑level function.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex data for non‑finance stakeholders.
• High proactivity, solution‑orientation and comfort operating in ambiguous environments.
