Head of Finance – Build & Lead Finance Function

About the role

As Head of Finance you will design and run the complete finance function for a fast‑growing deep‑tech hardware company. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will partner with the leadership team, board and investors to shape financial strategy and ensure operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end finance, including accounting, controlling, treasury, tax, compliance and financial operations.
• Lead monthly and annual reporting under German HGB and prepare the company for IFRS compliance.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow planning and business partnering across R&D, manufacturing and commercial units.
• Build the financial backbone for global equipment deliveries, managing multi‑currency operations, FX, hedging and export considerations.
• Oversee large‑scale public funding programmes such as the European Chips Act, including reporting and cost statements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a finance function in a high‑growth technology or hardware environment.
• Strong track record of establishing scalable processes, governance and controls.
• Ability to work hands‑on while building a high‑performing finance team.
