Head of Operations

About the role

The Head of Operations reports to the Co‑CEO and is responsible for building and scaling the operating engine of a fast‑growing AI frontier lab. This role partners with finance, legal, people, IT, InfoSec and compliance leads to ensure the company can grow without operational bottlenecks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own processes that scale with headcount, revenue and complexity.
• Drive operational excellence across finance, people, legal, IT, InfoSec and compliance.
• Anticipate and rebuild systems ahead of growth stages to prevent breakdowns.
• Resolve complex cross‑functional problems by aligning stakeholders and delivering decisive outcomes.
• Serve as a decision partner, framing trade‑offs, surfacing risk early and turning decisions into action.
• Recruit, develop and lead an operations team that sets a high standard of execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience scaling operations in high‑growth companies, understanding what breaks at each stage.
• Global operating experience across multiple countries and time zones.
• Broad ownership of at least two core functions such as finance, people, legal or business operations.
• Demonstrated ability to build and inspire teams that other operators want to join.
• Experience in data, developer tools or AI markets is a strong plus.
