Head of Product Operations – Germany

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Product Operations to build and scale the operational foundation of a growing product organization in Germany. The role will design planning frameworks, streamline workflows and establish operating models that enable product teams to deliver impactful solutions at speed.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a unified product operations framework that improves planning, coordination, execution, and communication across product teams.
• Facilitate cross‑team planning processes, including roadmap alignment, goal setting, prioritisation and progress tracking.
• Establish scalable operating processes and continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, remove bottlenecks and reduce unnecessary complexity.
• Audit existing workflows, implement improvements and standardise key product processes through clear documentation and knowledge‑management systems.
• Create and maintain collaboration frameworks, including operating agreements, dependency management, risk tracking and escalation processes.
• Develop execution‑management models for strategic initiatives, ensuring visibility, accountability and alignment across stakeholders.
• Optimise the use of project‑management and collaboration tools by introducing standards, improving adoption and supporting teams in effective usage.
• Document important decisions, learnings and retrospectives to make them accessible across the organisation.
• Explore and implement AI‑powered tools and automation solutions to improve team productivity and operational efficiency.
• Act as an operational partner to product leadership, translating strategic goals into effective execution.
• Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing product operations team.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in product operations, product‑management operations, program management or a similar role within a technology‑focused organisation.
• Proven experience designing, implementing or significantly improving operational processes within product teams.
• Experience facilitating cross‑functional planning, including quarterly planning cycles, goal setting, roadmap synchronisation and execution tracking.
• Strong understanding of task‑management systems, documentation platforms and collaboration tools.
