Head of Treasury and M&A

About the role

As Head of Treasury and M&A you will lead BASF Agricultural Solutions' global treasury function while driving the company’s M&A agenda. This senior position sits at the intersection of financial strategy and corporate growth, supporting the upcoming partial IPO.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a global treasury strategy to ensure sustainable liquidity, optimized funding structures and a resilient capital structure.
• Oversee global cash and liquidity management, including sophisticated cash‑pooling structures.
• Lead financing activities on debt and capital markets and cultivate strategic relationships with banks, creditors and rating agencies.
• Own financial risk management (FX, interest‑rate and counter‑party risks) and design effective hedging programmes.
• Continuously improve treasury governance, policies and systems to meet regulatory and business requirements.
• Build and lead an integrated Treasury and M&A organization, creating a scalable operating model aligned with growth ambitions and the IPO roadmap.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership on capital allocation, funding strategy and investment priorities.
• Execute M&A transactions, including structuring, negotiation, coordination of external advisors and preparation of decision bases for board approval.

Required profile

• Completed degree in finance, business administration, economics or a related field.
• Extensive leadership experience in corporate treasury and/or M&A or corporate finance, with a proven track record in dynamic, transformational environments.
