Head of UX (Remote)

About the role

As the Head of UX at RoomPriceGenie you will lead a small but high‑impact design and research team consisting of two product designers and one user researcher. This is a leadership position focused on building the function, championing the team, and setting them up for success rather than hands‑on pixel work.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategic direction for design and research, aligning them with business priorities and product road‑maps.
• Advocate for design and research at the leadership level, raising maturity across the product organisation.
• Establish and evolve design systems, component libraries, and playbooks to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Set the AI strategy for design and research workflows, creating guardrails and fostering a culture of AI‑enabled craftsmanship.
• Coach, mentor, and develop the team, building clear career frameworks and encouraging continuous learning.

Required profile

• Proven senior design leadership experience, having owned a design/research function and influenced product direction at the executive level.
• Track record of building or maturing design processes, systems, and playbooks from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of both design and research disciplines and a commitment to supporting both equally.
• Curiosity about AI’s impact on design and research, with a willingness to explore its integration.
