Help Desk Technician – IT Support (Ulm, Germany)

About the role

The Corporate Information Systems team is seeking a motivated Help Desk Technician to join its Ulm office. You will provide first‑line technical support to end‑users and developers across the German locations, ensuring smooth operation of hardware and software throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Handle help‑desk tickets from the ticketing system and walk‑in requests, guiding each issue to resolution.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting, repair, and replacement for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Manage inventory of equipment, including organization and recycling of retired assets.
• Assist users with operating system setup, software installation, and configuration on Windows 10/11, iOS, Android, and Apple devices.
• Collaborate with the IS Help Desk Supervisor and team members to maintain service quality and departmental reputation.

Required profile

• Fluent German and good English communication skills.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work reliably on‑site, follow instructions, and handle confidential information responsibly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.

Required skills

• Experience with Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Knowledge of iOS and Apple product ecosystems.
• Familiarity with Dell workstations and laptops.
• Understanding of Android mobile devices.
• Basic hardware troubleshooting and repair.
