Hiring Specialist / HR Recruiter (Full‑time, Berlin)

About the role

Q, a fast‑growing European defence‑tech company, is looking for a Hiring Specialist / HR Recruiter to join its HR team in Berlin. You will own the full‑cycle recruiting process, build talent pipelines and represent Q’s mission to candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for engineering, product and business positions, from kickoff to offer negotiation.
• Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, defence networks and other channels.
• Design and continuously improve structured interview processes and assessment frameworks.
• Partner with C‑level executives and team leads to define role profiles and hiring timelines.
• Maintain and optimise employer branding on LinkedIn, job boards and career events.
• Administer the ATS, track recruiting KPIs and report on pipeline health and time‑to‑hire.
• Deliver an outstanding candidate experience from first contact to day one.

Required profile

• University degree in Psychology, Business, HR Management or related field, or equivalent recruiting experience.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on recruiting experience, preferably in a high‑growth tech start‑up or scale‑up.
• Proven ability to source passive candidates and use data‑driven talent acquisition methods.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and switching between strategic planning and execution.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms.
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and recruiting metrics.
