HR Business Partner – Payroll & Employee Lifecycle

About the role

We are seeking an HR Business Partner to support and further develop our HR department, with a focus on payroll and the full employee lifecycle for our operations in Germany and Austria. The role combines strategic HR partnership with hands‑on administrative expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth, error‑free payroll processing by coordinating with external partners.
• Provide end‑to‑end employee support from onboarding to off‑boarding, including payroll registration, contract drafting, confirmations, references and terminations.
• Maintain and manage personnel files and HR IT systems.
• Serve as the primary contact for all HR administrative matters and employment‑law queries.
• Prepare monthly HR reports, support project work and act as liaison for internal and external audits.
• Participate in recruiting activities and develop a well‑structured HR process landscape.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in HR, payroll or employment law.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and German employment legislation.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Highly organized, independent, solution‑oriented and able to work under pressure.
