HR Generalist – On-site in Hamburg

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our Hamburg studio. You will be the primary on‑site HR contact, handling the full employee lifecycle and acting as the bridge to the Stillfront Germany HR Hub.

Key responsibilities

• Lead onboarding, probation evaluations and annual performance & salary review cycles.
• Manage absence processes, return‑to‑work conversations and workplace risk assessments.
• Develop and administer local benefits strategy, including provider contracts and budgeting.
• Review payroll, report tax‑relevant events and coordinate payments with the HR Hub.
• Serve as first point of contact for employee relations, exit interviews and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain studio org chart, salary bands and HR documentation in line with German labour law.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment, headcount planning and onboarding readiness.

Required profile

• Professional experience as an HR Manager, HR Coordinator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of German labour law and HR best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Fluent in German and English, willing to work full‑time on‑site.

Required skills

• Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms (HiBob is a plus).
• Proficiency in Google Workspace or similar productivity suites.
