HR Specialist – Frankfurt (International Fintech)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive HR Specialist to own the full employee journey for our Frankfurt entity of a European fintech. You will act as the central point for people operations and workplace management, partnering closely with an international People team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end employee lifecycle: contracts, onboarding, performance reviews, and offboarding.
• Administer benefits, perks, engagement surveys and translate feedback into action.
• Organise recognition programmes, team events and support learning & development initiatives.
• Serve as first point of contact for employee‑relations matters and ensure compliance with German labour law, workplace safety, and immigration processes.
• Maintain HRIS, attendance tracking and payroll documentation.
• Oversee office operations: vendor management, facilities, desk planning, health & safety checks, and business travel coordination.
• Support HR and office budget tracking and lead CSR/community projects.

Required profile

• Experience as an HR Generalist, People Ops or HR Specialist in a fast‑paced, international environment.
• Working knowledge of German employment law and immigration procedures.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
• Hands‑on, roll‑up‑your‑sleeves attitude with the ability to adapt quickly.
• Based in or able to commute to Frankfurt.
