Hybrid Near Patient Nurse (Germany)

About the role

International SOS is seeking a Hybrid Near Patient Nurse to act as a clinical bridge between German hospitals and international medical teams. The role combines on‑site hospital visits with remote coordination, offering a predictable schedule without night shifts or on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support inpatient care throughout the hospital stay, ensuring clinical quality and patient safety.
• Produce structured, accurate medical reports in English.
• Liaise directly with physicians and nursing teams in German hospitals.
• Serve as an intermediary between patients and healthcare providers, helping patients navigate the German healthcare system.
• Provide bilingual support (German/English) to patients and staff.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (Pflegefachkraft / Gesundheits‑ und Krankenpfleger) with at least 3 years of bedside experience in an inpatient setting.
• Active registration to practice nursing in Germany.
• Fluent in both German and English.
• Structured, accountable, and able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally.
