IBM i (AS/400) Release Coordinator – System Administrator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technical IBM i (AS/400) Release Coordinator to lead end‑to‑end software releases for Dealer Management System (DMS) environments. The role is based in Germany and requires strong German language skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute release cycles, version tracking and go‑live activities.
• Manage pilot deployments, rollouts and post‑release support.
• Maintain IBM i objects, libraries, PTFs and perform save/restore operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT and business units to ensure smooth delivery.
• Apply ITIL best practices for change and configuration management.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience with IBM i / AS400 / IBM iSeries.
• Proven experience in Dealer Management System (DMS) environments.
• German language proficiency at C1 level or higher.
• Strong background in release and deployment management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
