In-House Counsel (Munich)

About the role

CLO Virtual Fashion is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Munich office. The role supports the company’s fast‑growing digital fashion ecosystem by handling a wide range of legal matters across EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Review, negotiate and draft commercial contracts, software licensing agreements, SaaS/cloud service terms, NDAs and DPAs with rapid turnaround.
• Partner with sales, security and HR teams to ensure deal execution complies with internal policies and regulations such as GDPR and the EU AI Act.
• Provide guidance on German employment law issues and support internal HR matters.
• Identify and implement legal process improvements to accelerate deal closure.
• Maintain a positive, solutions‑driven attitude while supporting colleagues and the company’s interests.

Required profile

• German law degree with successful completion of the first state exam (Erstes Juristisches Staatsexamen).
• Minimum three years of post‑qualification experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department.
• Native‑level German and fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of German employment law.
• Interest in emerging technologies such as the metaverse, AI and digital assets.
• Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
