In-House Legal Counsel

About the role

Impossible Cloud is seeking an In‑House Legal Counsel to join its Hamburg headquarters. Reporting directly to senior management, you will provide comprehensive legal support across corporate, commercial, M&A, venture capital and employment matters for a fast‑growing B2B cloud company.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts with enterprise customers, resellers and technology partners, balancing speed and risk.
• Advise on venture‑capital transactions, including term sheets, financing documentation and cap‑table management.
• Manage German employment law matters throughout the employee lifecycle, from contracts and policies to terminations and works‑council issues.
• Develop and maintain scalable contract templates, playbooks and internal legal processes to accelerate deal turnaround.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal risk advice to founders and department heads, translating complex legal issues into clear business guidance.

Required profile

• Professional experience in commercial and corporate law, either in‑house or at a law firm, with exposure to contract negotiation, venture capital or M&A.
• Proven ability to handle German employment law matters independently.
• Successful completion of the First State Examination (Erstes Staatsexamen) or equivalent qualification to practice law in Germany.
• Comfort operating autonomously in a fast‑moving environment and making sound judgments without extensive legal support.
• Fluent in German and English, capable of drafting and advising in both languages.
