Indirect Procurement Manager

About the role

This position is based in Germany and reports to the Group Director of International Procurement. The Indirect Procurement Manager will lead procurement strategy, vendor development and tendering for new pipeline and renovation projects in the logistics and industrial sector across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for logistics and industrial development projects in Europe, aligned with cost and quality targets.
• Collaborate with Development, Asset Management and Business Development teams to define procurement needs, schedule timelines and ensure project alignment.
• Maintain compliance with local regulations, company policies and international best practices.
• Build and manage a supplier database for the German region, focusing on construction materials, equipment and services.
• Negotiate long‑term agreements, optimise vendor terms and resolve supplier issues.
• Lead the full procurement cycle – tender preparation, release, bid evaluation, negotiation, contract award and order placement.
• Support other departments by coordinating procurement requirements and ensuring clear communication.
• Oversee tendering and bidding processes to guarantee transparency, fairness and efficiency.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in industrial or logistics projects within Europe.
• Strong knowledge of the local procurement market, cost benchmarks, regulations and legal requirements.
• Proven track record of at least three full‑cycle project procurements in the logistics/industrial sector.
• Extensive network of vendors and suppliers in the European market.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software tools.
