Information Security Engineer – Berlin

About the role

The PSI Group is seeking an Information Security Engineer to join its Security & Resilience team at the Berlin headquarters. You will work on both on‑premises and cloud environments, analysing architectures, guiding stakeholders and strengthening the company’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and review system architectures and configurations across on‑premises and cloud platforms.
• Identify technical improvements and advise stakeholders on security enhancements.
• Collaborate with internal IT, developers and product managers on identity & access management, mobile device management, network security and related topics.
• Perform technical risk identification, evaluation and assessment.
• Support information‑security incident response and enhance existing security‑operations tooling and procedures.
• Implement measures such as central logging, vulnerability management and automated security workflows.
• Set up central security services for business units and subsidiaries abroad.
• Participate in security‑related due‑diligence activities and promote a strong security and data‑compliance culture.

Required profile

• Strong system‑engineering background covering technical architectures and networking.
• Good understanding of encryption, IAM and other technical security controls.
• Familiarity with security tools such as Cloud Security Posture Management, Mobile Device Management and Office 365.
• Experience with enterprise tools like Jenkins, Confluence and Jira.
• Knowledge of security attacks, incident response and risk‑management processes.
• Basic scripting/programming skills (Python, shell/bash).
• Experience with cloud security, Terraform and SDLC concepts.
• Analytical mindset, ownership attitude and fluency in English (German a plus).
