Internship Lifelong Learning for Humanoid Robots

About the role

Join Bosch Group for a 6‑month internship focused on lifelong learning for humanoid robots. You will work at the cutting edge of robotics and artificial intelligence, developing systems that enable robots to continuously acquire and refine new manipulation skills through visual feedback and verbal commands.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and evaluate a pioneering continuous‑learning system on a humanoid robot.
• Enable autonomous acquisition and refinement of manipulation skills using real‑time visual feedback and spoken instructions.
• Fine‑tune pre‑trained VLA models with Parameter‑Efficient Fine‑Tuning (PEFT) and continuous‑learning techniques such as Experience Replay.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Master’s program in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence or a related field with excellent academic records.
• Highly motivated, able to work independently and tackle complex technical challenges.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Deep learning frameworks, especially PyTorch.
• Linux operating environment.
• Fundamental knowledge of robotics (kinematics) and computer vision.
• Basic understanding of natural language processing.
• Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) – desirable.
• Experience with robotic hardware or simulation environments – desirable.
